Teen Dating Violence Data Added to Kidsdata.org

On kidsdata.org, indicators of dating and domestic violence include the number of domestic violence calls to law enforcement each year, the rate of such calls per 1,000 residents ages 18-69, and whether or not students in 7th, 9th, and 11th grades report having been hit, slapped, or intentionally physically hurt by a girlfriend or boyfriend in the past 12 months. Read more

UCLA Researchers Find That Nearly 4 million Californians Report Sexual or Physical Violence from a Spouse or Companion 

Nearly 4 million adults in California reported being a victim of physical or sexual violence at the hands of a spouse, companion, or other intimate partner, according to estimates in a recent policy brief from the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. Of those victims, more than 1 million reported being forced to have sex by an intimate partner, the study found. Read more
